Commissioned Training

I work with organisations to design and deliver Motivational Interviewing training that is practical, ethical, and grounded in real‑world contexts.

Commissioned training can support:

  • Workforce development across substance use, health, and social care

  • Embedding MI consistently across teams or services

  • Deepening practice where MI is already in use

  • Supporting staff working with complexity, ambivalence, and trauma

Training is shaped around context, role, and organisational needs, and can range from introductory workshops to extended programmes that include coaching, skills development, and follow‑up.

If you’d like to discuss commissioned training for your team or service, please get in touch to explore what might be a good fit.

Open Courses & Bookable Training

Alongside commissioned work, I also run open Motivational Interviewing courses that individuals and small teams can book onto.

These courses use the same MI‑consistent approach as commissioned training and are suitable for:

  • Practitioners new to MI

  • Those wanting to refresh or deepen skills

  • People working across substance use, health, social care, and community settings

Two‑Day Introductory Motivational Interviewing Workshop

Cost: £200

This workshop can be taken as a standalone course or as part of a wider learning pathway. It focuses on MI spirit, core skills, and structured practice in a supportive learning environment.

Coaching and Skills Development

Participants on open or commissioned courses may also choose to engage in individual coaching, which supports the translation of learning into day‑to‑day practice.

  • 1‑to‑1 coaching sessions: 30 minutes

  • Cost: £25 per session

Coaching focuses on reflective practice, confidence‑building, and skill refinement using participants’ real‑world experience.

Two‑Day Applied Motivational Interviewing Workshop

For those wishing to continue their learning journey, further options include:

  • Follow‑up two‑day workshop: £200
Deepening skills, working with complexity, and integrating MI into ongoing practice

  • Practice recording, coding, and feedback session: £100
The training includes recording (and listening to) a sample of practice. You can choose to submit this recording for coding and a follow-up feedback session.
